crushing it sesame sauce


  • 1/3 c sesame seeds
  • 1/4 c light miso
  • 3 tbs peanut butter
  • 1/4 c rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey(optional)


  1. Toast sesame seeds in hot pan for less than a minute. Careful, they burn quickly!
  2. Pound in a mortar with a pestle. You can also use a spice grinder.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of miso and 3 tbs peanut butter to mortar. Combine using pestle.
  4. Stir in 1/4 c of rice wine vinegar.
  5. Add honey if you like sauce a little sweeter.
